Day 2: Sent in Power

Reading: Acts 1:4-8; Acts 2:1-4

Devotional: The disciples had all the knowledge they needed—they'd walked with Jesus, witnessed His miracles, heard His teachings. Yet Jesus told them to wait. Why? Because knowledge without power accomplishes nothing. The Holy Spirit didn't come to give them information; He came to give them transformation and power. You may know Scripture, understand theology, and recognize what's right, but without the Spirit's power, you'll remain ineffective. God doesn't send you in your strength or wisdom; He sends you in His power. The same Spirit that fell on Pentecost dwells in you today. Stop striving in your own ability. Wait on the Lord, be filled afresh, and watch Him do through you what you could never accomplish alone.
