The Gap Week 4
This powerful message invites us to shift our perspective from fixating on how far we have to go in our spiritual journey to celebrating how far God has already brought us. Drawing from 2 Corinthians 3:16-18, we're reminded that when we turn to Christ, the veil is removed and we become reflectors of God's glory—even while we're still in process. The transformation isn't instant but progressive, happening 'more and more' as we remain connected to Jesus. Like Moses whose face glowed after being in God's presence, we carry and reflect divine glory to others despite our imperfections. The sermon beautifully illustrates this through the image of standing between our past self and our future self, encouraging us to look back with gratitude at the valleys God has brought us through rather than only looking ahead with anxiety. We're challenged to embrace sanctification as a gradual, season-by-season journey where God is faithfully shaping us into the image of Christ. The key isn't trying harder through our own strength but staying closer to the Vine, allowing the Holy Spirit to produce fruit in our lives naturally. This message offers tremendous hope: our present struggles don't define our future potential, and the best is truly still ahead.
